Recording - The capturing of "tracks" such as vocals, drums, guitar, and bass. These, "tracks" can be recorded simultaneously (live), or one at a time (overdubbing). The recorded tracks are then adjusted and balanced in the mixing stage, and further refined in the mastering stage.
