Songwriters at Play presents the duo called hVA who celebrate the joys and hardships of love with multifaceted and meaningful lyrics. Using universal themes of love, life, living in ever-changing times, this new folk-duo touches on subjects felt by all. hVA, which is the Norwegian word for “what?!”, is the perfect description for the effortless creative partnership that Stephanie Croff & Kyle Reilly have found in one another. They are often noted for their incredibly tight vocal harmonies. Trained in classical guitar, Kyle weaves complimenting musical threads through the fabric of hVA’s repertoire. With experience from years spent in professional choirs, Stephanie creates powerful melodies and harmonies.

Special guests include local faves Jim Conroy, Susan Ritchie, and all the way from Spain, the duo called Carbayo.
Showcases are Mondays 6:30-9pm at Morro Bay Wine Seller, 601 Embarcadero, Morro Bay, (805) 772-8388. The showcase includes one featured act, playing a 45-minute set to close out the night, and others playing 4-song sets. No cover charge, but we pass the tip bucket for the featured act. 21 & Over only
