Cold Blue

Jacob Edward Cole is a familiar face around Lompoc. He’s performed at many venues, under the banner of many names over the last few years: Saint Anne’s Place, King Cole, Jacob Cole & The Truth. But no matter what you call him, the fact remains that Cole is one of the Central Coast’s most talented performers.

Recorded at Certain Sparks Music in Lompoc, Cold Blue is the sound of a talented musician shedding his early influences & breaking into his own space. From opening track, ‘Tonight’, where the refrain begs “Don’t go…”, to closing track “Goodbye”, Cold Blue works through stages of denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

The album features contributions by occasional band members — brother Samuel Cole, cousin Joel Martin, and Mic Singh — as well as local songwriters Emily Wryn and Chris Lambert.

The release event was held at Certain Sparks Music on November 26th, 2016, & the music was paired with a 2013 Pinot Noir from Lompoc Wine Factory.
